CRISTINA AND VICTORIA IGLESIAS WORE CUSTOM OSCAR DE LA RENTA GOWNS TO THE 2019 MET GALA.
THE TWINS' ETHEREAL GOWNS WERE INSPIRED BY THE ICONIC WARDROBE OF GINGER ROGERS
AND ADAPTED FROM A LOOK IN OUR FALL 2019 COLLECTION.
ON THE BODICE, FEATHERS ARE EMBROIDERED UPSIDE DOWN TO FALL IN THE
OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE SKIRT, CREATING VOLUME AND MOVEMENT.
CRISTINA AND VICTORIA’S WATERCOLOR GOWNS ARE CONSTRUCTED USING 87 YARDS OF
OSTRICH FEATHERS EACH. EACH GOWN IS THE RESULT OF 4,700 HOURS OF
HAND-EMBROIDERY BY 20 CRAFTSMEN.
GOING TO OUR VERY FIRST MET GALA WEARING OSCAR DE LA RENTA IS VERY MEANINGFUL TO US AS
WE GREW UP WITH THE DESIGNER HIMSELF AND HIS WONDERFUL FAMILY. IT IS SUCH AN HONOR
TO BE WEARING HIS LEGACY. - CRISTINA AND VICTORIA
